As founder of the MENASIA ARTS CLUB, I, Ms. Samia ABDESSLAM, would like to share with you my story and the one of this Club, which is very important to me. I spent my childhood between two cultures which was filled with family business trips, and this forged my multicultural identity and was rich in human experience.
I’m passionate about art and beautiful things. I’ve always dreamed of creating spaces for sharing, encounters, and dialogue around artistic events. My aim is to use Art as a unifying link between Members to share mutual emotions.
After spending eleven years working for the Ministry of Finance in Algiers, I decided to leave everything behind and move to France to pursue my studies in Intercultural Relations and International Cooperation. I’m currently preparing to start a post-graduate course on a theme related to the music of the Greater Maghreb. This entrepreneurial adventure, which is filled with encounters and learning, has enabled me to turn my project into a reality and give birth to MENASIA ARTS CLUB.
I want to create a special place for international relations and cultural life, a space where people who are connected or interested can actually interact socially and exchange ideas. My desire is to unite diasporas around common aspirations.
The Club offers an exceptional program of events, from distinguished art exhibitions to live music, which helps stimulate future collecting vocations. Moreover, the Club provides sales, purchasing and investment advice for private and corporate clients. I also aspire to create a new life, in terms of image and dynamism, within Africa and the Middle East.
By doing so, I aspire to create a unique place, where art and culture are given pride of place, and where entrepreneurs can exchange and develop. My aim is to create a sense of collective belonging by bringing together a wide variety of people around my project.
